Nate Rocks is at it again...

The highly anticipated third installment of the Nate Rocks series is here!

According to Nathan Rockledge, fifth grade has plenty of perks. Oh sure, there’s more work and that know-it-all, Lisa Crane, is still around – but, there’s a lot to look forward to as well: a laser tag birthday party, baseball at recess, and even a cool Halloween dance. Of course, all of that means nothing without the biggest perk of all . . . the class trip to New York City in the spring. If Nathan’s class can raise enough money to go, that is.

Give Nathan paper and a pencil and watch as his imagination turns him into Nate Rocks, hero and fifth grade super star. With adventures abound, Nate saves the day time and again. But will Nate be able to save the fifth grade trip?

Join Nathan, his hilarious family, and his friends, as he rocks the school in another fun Nate Rocks adventure.

Pick up your copy at Amazon and B&N!

join us for author
Frank L. Cole's blog tour of his
HASHBROWN WINTER
SERIES

All Hashbrown Winters ever wanted was a simple life: a treehouse full of buddies, enough marbles to keep him occupied at recess, and a Brody the Ape-Slayer action figure with authentic ninja throwing stars. But everything changes when Hi Mashimoto starts a rival club and threatens to take Hashbrown's place as the kid with the coolest treehouse at Pordunce Elementary.

our review (Mom and Lucas)

Frank Cole delivers more wonderful reading material for kids! Hashbrown Winters is a fantastic book. This particular book is the second in the Hashbrown series. It is truly laugh out loud funny. It is a well written story about Hashbrown and another kid, Mashimoto. Kids will learn how rivals must work together to achieve a common goal. This is a wonderfully written story that grade school kids (especially boys) will appreciate. I can't wait to read what's next for Hashbrown and his friends at Pordunce School.

COVER REVEAL

BOOK THREE OF THE
SWEET VENOM SERIES
BY
TERA LYNN CHILDS

about the book:

Leoros doesn't have many friends. The son of a scientist and archeologist, he is constantly on the move. But when his parents make a startling discovery in Egypt, Leoros' world is turned upside down.

Description

Do you wish you could have the power of a god? Would you use it for good…or for evil?

When an archeologist discovers the mythic Emerald Tablet buried beneath Egypt’s desert, her son decodes the ancient text leading him to a distant world.

On that world, a slave girl begins a journey towards a destiny she cannot imagine. But when an ancient foe rises from the ashes, they will be brought together
by forces neither understands.

Leoros, who dreams of being like the heroes in the comic books, must fight to unlock the secrets of the universe to save a people he never knew existed.

Atlantia, whose bloody visions wake her in the night, senses the darkness coming.

Together they will face an enemy with the power of dark energy, lose a mentor to the assassin’s blade, and be betrayed by someone they trust. Their fight for the future is just beginning, and before it is over, a final sacrifice must be made. When the darkness comes, will they stand and fight or will they join it?

There is darkness in everyone.

My thoughts:
YIKES!  Page one- a father choking the life out of his 6 six old daughter, asking her if she knows hate and rage!!  This book starts with a bang and never stops.  It is a wonderful, gripping tale of good vs evil.  The characters are charismatic and lifelike.  (I think I felt hands on my neck while reading the opening lines!)

This book has it all, sci fi, fantasy, MYTHOLOGY (my favorite) and something to appeal to everyone.

The 'worlds' are somewhat difficult to follow, but once you get an understanding of the bigger picture, it becomes easier to follow.

This is the first of a series.  Hurry up Joshua and write more!!

about the book:

O! Jackie explores the private life of Jackie Kennedy, including the heartache she endured on her road to motherhood, her difficult personal relationships, and her passionate desire to end JFK's wandering ways. Being devoted to an unfaithful husband, Jackie knew humiliation well. Most needling for Jackie was her husband's trysts with Marilyn Monroe. When Marilyn's behavior becomes erratic and unstable, Jackie must decide how far she will go to protect the presidency and to save her marriage.

My thoughts:

Wow.  What a book!!  Who doesn't want to know what REALLY happened in Camelot?  This book is a work of fiction but it certainly opens our eyes to many different possibilities.  I can't say I liked many of the characters in this book.  Jackie herself was a pushover who put up with too much garbage from a womanizing jerk (and that's being kind to her less than honorable husband) but she was portrayed as a human woman, not an iconic figure.  We saw her flaws, we felt her pain,  I cried with her and yelled at her.  I didn't care for Bobby or Marilyn,  I despised Ethel.  She was just a plain old b**ch.  I have to say, the nicest character in this book was Aristotle Onassis.

Bear in mind, this is a WHAT IF? novel.  This is a wonderfully written novel about one viewpoint of what 'may have' happened in the unfortunate marriage of Jack and Jackie Kennedy.

Make certain you have a lot of time when you start to read this book.  You will not want to put it down until you finish!
