Welcome to Book Lovers Paradise

Welcome to my attempt at blogging. I am a true to heart bibliophile. Here I will discuss and review books as I read them. You are welcome to do the same. The only rules are no profanity, no politics, no religion, and have fun!

about the book
It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

MY THOUGHTS

A fabulous follow up book.  I usually face a second book with trepidation.  Will it be as good as the first?  UNDER THE NEVER SKY was one of my favorite books, I was concerned about THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT not reaching the same height.

Veronica Rossi did it again.  I loved THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT even more than UNDER!  The characters grow and are even more interesting and exciting.  I love Perry.  A fantastic character and a true leader.  You can palpate the love and responsibility he feels for his people.  Aria shows she is a truly beautiful person, both inside and out.  Roar is the comic relief, a true character!

If you haven't yet read anything by Rossi, I strongly encourage you to pick up these books.  You will not be disappointed.  I anxiously await the next book by this stellar author!

This book is definitely my cup of tea!  5 stars, 5 teacups!

How would you live your life differently today if you knew that no matter what happened, everything would be okay, even wonderful, in the end?

Todd and Sonja Burpo's almost-four-year-old son Colton made an unforgettabel trip to heaven and back during the darkest, most-stressed-out days of their lives. Times were tough, money was scarce, and the bills, frustrations, and fears were piled high.

The story of Colton's visit to heaven changed their lives-and the book they wrote about it, "Heaven Is for Real," gave new hope to millions of readers.

Now, in more than forty unique inspirational readings based on excerpts from their story, Todd, and for the first ever Sonja, from her perspective as a mom, share what happened next-in their lives and in millions of others. Through their own experiences, and based on the stories hundreds of readers have shared, they show you how believing heaven is for real helps us survive hardships here on earth, including the death of a loved one or the loss of a child through tragedy, miscarriage, and even abortion.

The daily readings provide a powerful reminder that, beyond the hardships we may face in this life, God's incredible gift of heaven awaits us. Imagine being completely fearless on earth because you know that after this life you're going to heaven, and you know, really know, you're going to love it there. That's the promise heaven holds for us.

Heaven is God's last word-and believing it's real changes everything.

My thoughts

This devotional book is a follow up to HEAVEN IS FOR REAL.  You don't have to read the first to appreciate the second.  This is a wonderful book. There are small bits from the first book, followed by a The Burpo's views on their son's visit to Heaven.  There are 42 devotional messages.   This book is very well written and easy to read.  The passages and messages will make you stop an think about your own faith and how it impacts your life.  I learned so much from the first book, this was like the icing on the cake.

I received this book from BookSneeze (Thomas Nelson publishers) for an honest opinion.  I was not paid for my opinion, nor required to provide a positive one.
